Information you provide
Search entries
When a visitor types a name, location, or other search term into a search tool, the query is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Holt County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or a message through a contact feature, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that message outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data collected during a visit
Like many websites, we may receive technical information when a page is opened, including:
- Internet protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring site, when one is provided
- Visit dates and timestamps
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools help us understand how visitors use the site. A browser can be configured to block or limit cookies, though parts of the site or a partner feature may then work differently.
How information is used
- Operate, maintain, and improve the site.
- Send a submitted search to the relevant partner service.
- Understand which guides visitors use and where technical problems occur.
- Diagnose errors, protect the service, and respond to messages.
- Display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests.
Links and advertising outside this site
This guide links to sheriff, court, corrections, federal, and other outside resources, as well as independent search tools. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, that destination's own privacy policy and practices apply.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and tailor advertising. Holt County Busted Mugshots does not control those third-party systems.
Who may receive information
We do not sell personal information. Information may nevertheless be processed or disclosed to the following parties when needed:
- Search partners that receive a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that help measure site use.
- Advertising networks that serve advertising.
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security measures
We use reasonable administrative and technical practices intended to protect information. No internet-connected system is fully secure, however, and we cannot promise that every transmission or stored item will be free from unauthorized access.
Visitors under 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted personal information, a parent or guardian may ask us to delete it.
